Moving CHAIN

Our society suffers from a serious problem of inaction and lack of awareness of human impact on the environment.
According to recent OECD reports, of the 460 million tonnes of plastic produced globally, less than 10% is recycled and 22% is abandoned in nature.

It is estimated that there are 30 million tonnes of plastic in the sea and another 109 million tonnes in rivers.

Despite these alarming figures, three out of four people are in favour of a ban on single-use plastics and 88% of people believe that a global pact to combat plastic pollution is essential, according to Ipsos.
We believe that international and national regulation on plastic products are necessary, but we also think that we should act on an individual and local level and that is why Moving Chain was created.
